The building that John’s Big Deck calls its home has been in existence for 100+ years and 60+ of those as a restaurant / bar.
In 1980 it became John’s and in 1983 the rooftop bar was completed.John’s offers 3 floors of food, drink, and fellowship with friends. With the 3 different floors, John’s has something for everyone.
Come on in to cheer on your favorite sporting teams, host a private event, or just grab a drink!
I've found them to be slow sometimes, especially in the kitchen, but the food is surprisingly good for bar food. They have a simple but wide enough beer selection, and the rooftop bar is fairly neat and worth checking out. There are a lot of stairs which are somewhat narrow and I can't imagine trying to get down safely if you've had too many. 😁 (If that's an actual concern though, stay on the bottom floor.)
But have you been on this deck?! great views of the city and fun atmosphere. They have great daily drink specials and have been doing pop up bars on the 2nd floor. The staff is always welcome and fun. Definitely a must when you're downtown.
That was a cool place. Bartenders were very friendly. We only had drinks but we plan on going back to eat. Pics are of the city you can see from the top deck.
Tuesdays are a little slow but the overall atmosphere is anything anyone would be looking for from chill to live to enjoy a rooftop experience.
